Successful Spiritual Warfare Is Not Free: Victory Must Cost You Something

Successful Spiritual Warfare Is Not Free: Victory Must Cost You Something - Too often in this microwave society, Christians are taught that Christianity produces quick results for life's needs and requires little, if any, sacrifice on the part of the Christian. This is a primary reason that compromsing megachurches are packed every week. Instead of a true Christian walk that attracts persecution, poverty, affliction and self-denial, most Christians in America are taught that the born again life is a path to prosperity, material gain, and problem-free lifestyles that require no sacrifice and no depature from participation in this present dying Babylonian culture. The reason most Christians keep clinging to such false ideas is because they have not experienced successful spiritual warfare and they are in constant, unfulfilled need for victory over the devil.

All true Christian victories over the devil and his evil works require sacrifices on the part of the believer. All true offerings to the Lord must come with substantial cost to the Christian making such offerings. A lukewarm Christian existence has no value in the Kingdom of God.

When the Angel of the Lord was preparing to strike Jerusalem with a catastrophic plague, King David was instructed by God to build an altar of peace at the location where He saw the Angel preparing for the judgment. The deceptive owner of the property where David was told to build the altar wanted to keep himself connected to the destiny of the location. The property's owner, Araunah the Jebusite, offered David the property for free use. David replied, "No, I insist on buying it, for I cannot present burnt offerings to the LORD my God that have cost me nothing."

2 Samuel 24:24

When David purchased the land with his own silver, he built an altar there, made offerings unto God, and the plagued was stopped. The site of this altar also became the future location of where Solomon built the Temple in Jerusalem.

In the past ten years God has used me to shutter nearly twenty demonic pornographic businesses in the City of San Diego. Additionally, under God's direction, I triggered the Prop. 8 campaign, uncovered and stopped a pedophile network in my city, and accomplished many other things in the name of the Lord. Every single one of these victories has cost me something significant. I have suffered in my physical body and experienced great persecution inside and outside of the church. I have gone hungry and been abandoned. Yet, I have learned peace and victory in the midst of the persecution and I have garnered Holy Ghost strength and wisdom in the midst of the afflictions.

Like King David, I declare at all times to King Jesus, "I will not offer anything up to the Lord that has not cost me dearly." I know that my true reward awaits me in heaven after I die. To suffer now is simply a sacrfice to honor God in my pursuit of His will and purpose in this life and beyond.
