I'm standing with our needy friends in City Heights during our Thanksgiving Day dinner for the homeless. Me and my friend Susan Ringo prepared dinners for twelve hungry men living on the streets of our little neighborhood in San Diego. We brought the food to the heart of City Heights and served them in the public park. Susan and I go to Mid-City Christian Fellowship where we believe in reaching out to our own neighbors who are hungry and suffering. This Thanksgiving I'm most grateful that God saved my soul and in His mercy He didn't let me perish in my former sinful life of homosexuality. While many men in their early 30s and 40s have died doomed premature deaths from AIDS and perished in eternal hell because they would not repent of the sin of homosexuality, this Thanksgiving I am celebrating my survival from twelve years of battling AIDS and I am nearly 52 years-old.
