DRUNK ON YOUR FEDERAL PROPERTY: This is a photograph I took last week during one of my investigations of the deplorable conditions inside of San Diego's gay community. This man is drunk and unconscious during open public hours on the property of the U. S. Federal Post Office in the heart of Hillcrest, San Diego's gay community. Gay Pride at its finest!

And James knows that this man is gay because... he's wearing a pink triangle, patch? He gave the secret handshake? Neither here nor there actually. What's more upsetting is his total lack of compassion! Has he heard of the Good Samaritan?

So you know this guy is gay simply because of his location in Hillcrest? I don't see the word "gay" tatooed on him anywhere.

How is you know this guy, although appearing to be asleep, is drunk?

Looks to me like a homeless person as most gay people I know don't travel around visiting nightclubs with shopping carts packed with what appears to be personal effects.

And if, as I suspect, this image is of a homeless person, why didn't you stop and offer him food or shelter? Wouldn't that have been the "Christian" thing to do or is it more valuable to you to use this poor man to push your agenda of hate and bigotry? I suspect the latter.

odd blog post... is the writer serious? check out any gay community, from hillcrest to castro to dupont circle to chelsea, and you will find that they are always the best kept up, safest, and cleanest 'hoods in any town. the property values prove that point. and, the gay hoods always have the most conservative values, with churches on every corner, lots of local business, and a nice mix of charitable and social service groups. go ahead, hate on the gays. but give credit where it's due: they have the best communities and best hoods anywhere in the world.
