In my opinion, with that statement you lost all credibility as a reporter and as a Christian. There is absolutely no evidence that homosexual activists threaten to assault service men with sex abuse and drugs and you certainly have no evidence that homosexual activists plan to destroy the U. S. military. You are simply injecting your hate into an article which appeared in the GLT Magazine. As a veteran I can state that gays are well represented in the military and we have served our county honorably and with pride.
What you did not report was another feature article in that same magazine reporting on 40 years of service to San Diego by the Metropolitan Community Church. MCC has worked patiently for 40 years to destroy intolerance and gain acceptance for the gay community. The work of MCC has been successful; today San Diego is a very gay friendly city and those who preach hate and intolerance are ignored. Tomorrow MCC will be joined by many mainline churches as they march in solidarity with the gay community to proclaim that God’s love extends to all; both gay and straight. Joining them will be many elected officials who by their participation in the parade make the statement that they were elected to serve everyone in our city, including gays.
Probably the same way it looked when I was in the Army in the early '80's: plenty of steamy, sweaty, shuddering man-sex! I'm with you James: sounds like fun!
