The Gay Rodeo is similar to a Straight Rodeo with bull riding, horse events, and there are no DRAG QUEENS competing in any of the events. The Wild Drag Race was designed for humor where a man or woman dresses up in a wig and a dress who gets on a steer and try to get across the line within 60 seconds to place in the event. There is no sexual contact or perversion at the rodeo grounds or at the hotel. The "parties" they have are private parties and only people who are 21 years old or older are permitted into the events. If you would go to a gay rodeo, you would find out that what you say they do is perversion and sexual would actually be false because the gay rodeo is a way of life that gay contestants can actually do what they have always wanted to do without discrimination (ride a bull, horse, dance, all the fun things there is to do in a regular rodeo). The gay rodeo actually helps youth learn that if they are gay, bisexual, lesbian, transgender, or straight, they can do normal things that everyone else does and they will not be discriminated against because the rodeo is judged by the performance of the contestants, NOT THEIR SEXUAL ORIENTATION!!! I have a challenge for you...I challenge you to go to one of the gay rodeos and see what it is all about and NOT be a BIBLE THUMPER to anyone about it. You chose to have homosexual experiences because you thought it would help you deal with your feelings about your past and all it did, was get you into drugs and trouble. It is actually time for you to look at yourself and find out who you are. If you are a Child of God, you are not showing it by judging everyone else instead of letting God judge. I have struggled with the issues of homosexuality and the church and have accepted who I am and that I am loved by God no matter who and what I am.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29964825.post-71285085067460324212007-04-10T14:53:00.000-07:002007-04-10T14:53:00.000-07:00For one thing, it is not your place to judge the g...For one thing, it is not your place to judge the gay rodeo, you don't have to like it, but they have a right to do what they do. Just like you have the right to express your feelings about what they do. Don't you understand that children won't "turn gay" by watching a gay rodeo? Children don't understand what they are seeing, all they care about is that they are watching the rodeo. Maybe these church leaders and the rest of "the evil people" allowing them to come to town is because they bring in a ton of money to your city. You also seem to forget that it is not illegal to be gay in public. It is actually becoming a more widely accepted practice. It isn't anti-family as you call it, it is just people being themselves in this crazy world. People like you who criticize them only serve to set back standards in society. No, I am not gay if that is what you are thinking. I have a gay cousin and I have a lot of gay friends. It seems to me that you fear what you don't know and criticize because it doesn't jive with your upbringing. Maybe you should open your mind to the possibility that you are not the only person in this world that has feelings.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
