The 2010 Election Winners of James Hartline's List of It's Not Hip To Be A Hypocrite Award - Hypocrite Award Recipient: Scott Barnett

The 2010 Election Winners of James Hartline's List of It's Not Hip To Be A Hypocrite Award
Hypocrite Award Recipient: Scott Barnett

James Hartline will be releasing his list of the most hypocritical candidates in this year's 2010 general elections. Here is the second of many recipients of the 2010 It Ain't Hip To Be A Hypocrite Awards -- Scott Barnett, Republican candidate for school board of the San Diego Unified School District.

Scott Barnett's campaign slogan: Barnett for School Board - Children First! (Unless you are a sex offender targeted by Jessica's Law or convicted money launderer Joel Anderson: they are really first in Scott's book!)

In addition to being one of the most nasty of the nasty personalities among this year's list of hypocrites seeking to get elected in San Diego, Scott Barnett is one of the most disgraceful when it comes to the issue of protecting kids.

In 2006, Barnett's group TaxpayersAdvocate.org injected itself into numerous campaigns and initiatives, particularly in support of corrupt California State Assemblyman Joel Anderson who was eventually convicted of money laundering in 2009. However, it was Barnett's refusal to support a 2006 state initiative to protect kids from sex offenders which brings into real focus his hypocritical demand in 2010 that voters elect him to a school board.

Prop 83: The Sexual Predator Punishment and Control Act of 2006 – or Jessica's Law – would prohibit registered sex offenders from living within 2,000 feet of schools and parks, and require them to wear satellite tracking devices for the rest of their lives.

What was Scott Barnett's TaxpayersAdvocate.org official stance on Prop. 83?

No Position!
Proposition 83 (Jessica's Law) No Position
Sex Offenders. Sexually Violent Predators. Punishment, Residence Restrictions and Monitoring. Initiative Statute.

Mr. Barnett, took a "missionary-style" position in support of Joel Anderson and his own pocketbook, but he couldn't find it in his blackened heart to take a stand on behalf of kids being targeted by dangerous sex offenders. Now, he wants to serve on a local school board.

We must ponder - Why do Scott Barnett and Joel Anderson seem to be glued to the political hip? Anderson claims to be a rabid pro-lifer, but he then takes mountains of cash from the human embryonic stem cell industry. Perhaps selling out pro-lifers for bags of campaign cash from the abortion industry is Roman Catholic Joel Anderson's way of giving his foxy wink and nod to Scott Barnett's equally nauseating betrayal of the kids of San Diego County.

Just a few years before Joel Anderson was caught up in his
campaign money laundering scheme, he was featured as "Honorary Chairman" of Barnett's TaxpayersAdvocate.org.

Joel Anderson: Honorary Chairman of TaxpayersAdvocate.Org:

The James Hartline Report confronted the corruption of Joel Anderson and Scott Barnett at that time in a scathing expose titled:

How San Diego Pro-Lifers Were Sold Out By State Assembly Candidate Joel Anderson
San Diego Pro-Lifers Taken For Big Ride By Joel Anderson.
Anderson Gives Money To Pro-Abortion Candidate Shirley Horton
and Anderson's Group Endorses Homosexual Activist Ralph Denney For State Assembly

Sarah J. O'Brien, a Catholic San Diegan, was extremely upset with the information she had received about Joel Anderson's betrayal of the pro-life community in 2006. She wrote Anderson an email in response to the article:

"I received the below email re: Joel Anderson. If it is true, it is disturbing since Joel has listed you or your organization as an endorsement. Is the information true? "
Sincerely,
Sarah J. O'Brien

Sarah sent a copy of her letter to James Hartline, east San Diego County media outlets, and a number of political leaders with ties to Joel Anderson's campaign:

senator.mcclintock@sen.ca.gov; senmtjoy@aol.com; chipenglander@yahoo.com; vonnie@thealpinesun.com; editor@thealpinesun.com; pres@ca-ra.org; Sylvia Sullivan
Cc: joel@joelforassembly.com

On Sunday, November 5, 2006, Scott Barnett replied to Sarah O'Brien and James Hartline. Barnett's mocking email stated:

From: "Scott Barnett" To: James Hartline and Sarah O'Brien

Dear Saint Jim and Sister Sarah:

Thank you both for your free advertising of TaxpayersAdvocate.org. The more publicity we get the better.
Sincerely yours for Good Government
Scott Barnett

Scott Barnett responded disrespectfully to James Hartline in a number of emails. Additionally, Hartline also intercepted several posts on a homosexual discussion board that featured posts by homosexual Republican state assembly candidate Ralph Denney and featured Scott Barnett's disrespectul rhetoric:

See Hartline’s tirade? I wrote him and his “friend back”

PS TaxpayersAdvocate not only endorsed Joel Anderson but he is a personal friend. We do not agree on all issues, but I know him to be a decent man who has never discriminated against any one in his business/politics. If you are elected, you will find Joel a good person to work with. Good luck.

In 2007, James Hartline contacted Scott Barnett to let him know that his disgusting emails would be published in the context of Barnett running for a seat on the school board:

From: James Hartline
Sent: Monday, August 27, 2007 4:59 PM
To: scott@taxpayersadvocate.org
Subject: Scott Barnett: Your Previous Mocking Of My Stand Against Joel Anderson
This is an enquiry e-mail via http://taxpayersadvocate.org from:
James Hartline

"I have retained all of your previous disgusting emails where you mocked me for taking a stand against Joel Anderson regarding the homosexual issue. Sadly, you decided to attack a person who will now make those emails available to all of the families who will be voting in the school board race you have entered into. We have had it with individuals who tell our families what they want to hear during campaign seasons, but behind closed doors they mock our family values and do everything possible to use positions like the school board to degrade our children."

Scott Barnett responded:

My Dear James:

I hope this email finds you in good health.

I wanted to warn you that some obviously crazed individual is using your email to send me warped and twisted messages. The most recent one is at the bottom of this message.

This "fake" Saint James is attempting to libel your good name by making you out to be a narrow minded imbecile. I suggest you consult legal counsel to ensure you are no longer misused by this pseudo St. James. I for one would be mortified if an illiterate and hateful moron was representing himself as being me.

It is troubling when psychotic people pretend to be someone they are not--doing harm to decent folk's good names. I hope it is not too late for you to shut down this fool.

Good luck. I am sure I will see you at next years Pride Parade. Yours for good government.
Your friend
Scott Barnett

On Sept 16, 2010 the San Diego Education Association rescinded its endorsement of Scott Barnett and we can only hope and pray that the voters of San Diego do the same thing to this political crony of the corrupt - because it ain't hip to be a hypocrite!

Don't we love these hypocrite candidates who quote Biblical scriptures when running for office, but they never follow the Bible when they are greedily busy corrupting our entire culture. Woe unto ye hypocrites for the Lord comes to take up His case against your wickedness. And great shall your fall be when He does.

Comic Con is bad but this is even worse. Why are our churches ignoring these things?
