Exposing The Ecumenical Jihad -- I would never, ever sign the Manhattan Declaration.

I would never, ever sign the Manhattan Declaration. It is a propaganda document whose architect, Chuck Colson, was a major speaker at the 2008 Global Emergent Church event called the Re-Think Conference held at the Crystal Cathedral. Joining Colson at the globalist Ecumenical Jihad event were new age minister Robert Schuller, Kay Arthur, wife of apostate mega ministry leader Rick Warren, former globalist U. S. President George H. W. Bush, seeker friendly megachurch pastor Miles McPherson, Emergent Church false prophet Erwin McManus and agnostic television host Larry King.

In addition to his involvement in numerous globalist events, Chuck Colson has been a big promoter of mormon Mitt Romney for president. The public relations firm, The DeMoss Group, published and promoted the Manhattan Declaration. Company founder Mark DeMoss was a major supporter of Mitt Romney's 2008 presidential campaign.

By connecting the dots of the extensive ties between Mitt Romney and numerous signers of the Manhattan Declaration and its does not take a political genius to understand the Romney money trail and gravy train that is driving this very unbiblical political game plan.

They worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?" It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. If anyone has an ear, let him hear. Revelation 13

I appreciate your concern, but Mormons ARE Christians. They don't demand to be Christian according to your definition, but they do love Christ more than any other man in history and actively seek to follow his teachings. The name of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints contains his name, NOT the word Mormon, neither Joseph Smith, Jr., and always has.

The Mormon church, as many call it, is an attempt to restore the teachings and church structure of Jesus Christ as originally taught by Christ. It has "apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth" as Paul taught a Church should. It preaches baptism for the remission of sins, faith in God, repentance, and receiving the Holy Ghost. It teaches that we should follow God all the days of our lives, and if we don't, that we need to get right with God.

I find no fault with that, and neither should you if you are a Christian.

Jesus's disciples once came to him, complaining that a man they did not recognize was preaching in his name. What did he say? Rebuke him? Fight him? No. He said to let him be.

Let the "Mormons" be. They follow the dictates of their own conscience and allow you the same right.

Jed - Your a blind guide! Mormons are not "Christians". You even stating such a ridiculous comment shows your ignorance of what exactly Mormons believe! Mormons exalt not Christ or the Father, but themselves! The heart of Mormonism is to be "good enough" so that upon your death they too can become a "god" of their own universe. Real Christians love others and love God out of total and supreme love for God and God only - not that we can get our own little universe or even to avoid hell, but to LOVE GOD!

Mormon theology is rooted in selfishness and not benevolence.

Preston N, your accusation of ignorance is ironic as the ignorance shown in your post is huge.
Upon death, no Mormon expects to become a God.
Your comment "Real Christians love others and love God out of total and supreme love for God and God only" describes Mormons every bit as well as any Christian. Playing the “my Christian is better than your Christian” belongs on the playground at grade school.
The belief you deride of man attaining Godhood, does not demean God, it elevates man AND God, in whose image man was created. It inspires man to be the very best he/she can be every day of their life, loving those around them, helping the poor serving others. Loving God, and Jesus Christ are as central to our belief as any teaching; in fact, it IS THE central theme of the Church.
Taking pot shot from the outside without adequate knowledge (even if you think your right), or re-hashing old half truths a century old gets us nowhere. Splitting theological hairs when in the end, Christ IS our Savior, he did come to earth and died for our sins. We agree with you that loving God has inestimable value in our lives, leading us to live “Christian” lives and salvation.
Your parting shot,” Mormon theology is rooted in selfishness and not benevolence” was almost right, it should read “Anti-Mormon theology is rooted in selfishness and not benevolence”. Your comment certainly does not demonstrate the love of God, it is one in the playground of small minds justifying one’s own ignorance.

Mike - YOUR A LIAR AS YOU JUST CONTRADICTED YOURSELF!!

On one hand you said:

"Upon death, no Mormon expects to become a God."

Yet two sentences later you state:

"The belief you deride of man attaining Godhood, does not demean God, it elevates man AND God, in whose image man was created. It inspires man to be the very best he/she can be every day of their life, loving those around them, helping the poor serving others"

Your statement again proves my point Mike - your motivation is not to love God, but that you can be LIKE God. Even if God decided to send me to hell I would still love and trust him, not because of what he can DO FOR ME, but because he is of the highest intrinsic value and worth in all the universe.

I always find it interesting that Mormons use all the same catch phrases as Christians - but what we really must do here Mike is get down to the definitions of the terms being used here. Do we really need to play the definition game here? Do we also really need to pull up the moral record of your beloved Joseph Smith or Brigham Young - who was a pervert polygomist and a racist. No light can come from darkness and therefore no sound and reasonable theology can come from such sinful and immoral men. But only from demons.

I will warn you Mike to repent from this religion and worship the one true God and King and that is Jesus. Put down that book of mormon and pick up the one true (and tested) book of God and that is the Holy Bible. You may claim to be a Christian Mike, but sadly you are deceived, or shall I say you have allowed yourself to be deceived.

I pray that God's Holy Spirit will show you truth and that you repent of this false religion.

James-why would you be so against this? They are speaking out on behalf of the unborn, and traditional marriage. Please don't be so critical! Look for the good.
